The Church Of
Jesus Christ?

Does The LDS Church have the right to claim the name of Jesus Christ?

Are Mormons Any Part of The Church of Jesus Christ?

This is what Joseph Smith said about a group of Personages [pastors] …….

“My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)–and which I should join.

I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven” (Joseph Smith History 1:18-20)

This is what the Book of Mormon says about this same group of Pastors……..

” And it came to pass that he said unto me: Look, and behold that great and abominable church, which is the mother of abominations, whose founder is the devil. And he said unto me: Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth.” (1 Nephi, 14: 9-10)

Jesus alone will gain our entrance into the Kingdom of God

These pastors are said to be part of the church of the devil, part of the whore of all the earth. This doctrine was strongly supported for many years in the LDS temple ritual where we learned that such pastors as these were hirelings of Lucifer and taught “the Orthodox religion” for him. That orthodoxy included salvation by grace and a god who is spirit, not an exalted man, the very doctrines upon which these local pastors rest their faith.

Why would the Mormons want any part of these organizations filled with pastors whom they believe have absolutely no authority to act in the name of God? Pastors, who do not have the authority to baptize people or bless the communion table because they do not hold the LDS priesthood? So, Why would the LDS church ever want its local leaders to be part of a group of preachers whom Christ Condemned?

Note: LDS members are invited to sit in local Ministerial associations in many cities.

What’s it all about?

Obviously, the Mormons haven’t changed a single doctrine, or repented of a single condemnation of the “rest” of Christendom, so why change the name?

There are too many obvious reasons that the LDS Church cannot be ‘The Church of Jesus Christ’

Dear LDS Member “If you are truly a part of ‘THE’ Church of Jesus Christ, read this carefully and consider what you want to be a part of” ………

“We hold that the Holy Bible is God’s inerrant eternal Word and is the sole, final authority for faith and practice; that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, Almighty God come in the flesh and humanity’s only Savior; and that God’s grace through faith in Jesus alone will gain our entrance into the Kingdom of God. We believe in the Trinitarian nature of God as taught in the Bible, believing that God was in Christ redeeming the world by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe in good works as a result of, rather than a means of salvation. We believe that the New Testament church, the Body of Christ is alive and well today, called to win the lost to Christ and expecting His return at any time!”

If you agree to the above statement   you would be denying your faith, the whole reason for the Mormon Church’s existence. While at the same time, understanding that you, as a member of the LDS church can in no wise hold the same statement of faith, therefore, you may not bear the name of Jesus Christ.

Mormonism by any other Name….is still…Mormonism

To further enhance their image as just another wonderful Christian Church, they have to try and identify with other Christian churches somehow. They can call themselves Christians, they can conceal what they truly believe, and even blend in with today’s religious talk. Yet, under the shiny veneer, the same spiritual darkness peeks out at the world. Here is just one example that they can change the name, but not the strong man.

This is a picture of the 4th floor windows that will grace all 4 sides of reconstructed LDS Nauvoo Temple.

You guessed it!………

This is not just a window.. It is an upside down 5-pointed star that is a pentagram, one of the highest symbols of Lucifer, the true god of the LDS temple. Friends, this is the exact opposite of the Church of Jesus Christ!
