Believe/Believing/Belief/ word study

This is one of the most important words to study in the Bible.

The reason is because most Christians do not have a clue what it means to truly believe.

Everyone just loves the promises of those that believe.

like we see in (Joh 3:16 KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But they do not realize that there are some problems with those that believe.

like we see in (Luk 8:13 KJV) They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.  Application = you can believe and then fall away.

(1Co 15:2 KJV)  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  application = you can be saved and then believe in vain.

(Jas 2:19 KJV)  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Application = you can believe and still live like devils and be lost just like they will be.

(Heb 3:12 KJV)  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. Application = you can be one of the brethren and enter back into unbelief and depart from the living God.

Also, this study can show you the proof of those who really believe.

as we see in (Joh 1:12 KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Application = those that believe have power in their life to become a child of God.

(Rom 10:11 KJV)  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Application =

Those that believe will not be ashamed of the Lord or His Gospel see Ro 1:16

(2Co 4:13 KJV)  We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Application = those that believe will witness for the Lord.

(Tit 3:8 KJV)  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. Application = Those that believe will be careful to maintain good works.

(1Jn 5:5 KJV)  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Application = those that believe will overcome the world.

Now please read these verses in context and see what the Lord shows you about those that believe and those that believe not.

(Rom 4:11 KJV)  And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

(Rom 4:17 KJV)  (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

(Rom 4:18 KJV)  Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

(Rom 4:20 KJV)  He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

(Rom 4:24 KJV)  But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

(Rom 6:8 KJV)  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

(Rom 9:33 KJV)  As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

(Rom 10:4 KJV)  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

(Rom 10:9 KJV)  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

(Rom 10:10 KJV)  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Rom 10:11 KJV)  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

(Rom 10:14 KJV)  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

(Rom 10:16 KJV)  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

(Rom 11:20 KJV)  Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

(Rom 11:23 KJV)  And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

(Rom 11:30 KJV)  For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

(Rom 11:31 KJV)  Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

(Rom 11:32 KJV)  For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

(Rom 13:11 KJV)  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

(Rom 14:2 KJV)  For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

(Rom 15:13 KJV)  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

(Rom 15:31 KJV)  That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;

(1Co 1:21 KJV)  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

(1Co 3:5 KJV)  Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

(1Co 6:6 KJV)  But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

(1Co 7:12 KJV)  But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

(1Co 7:13 KJV)  And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

(1Co 7:14 KJV)  For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

(1Co 7:15 KJV)  But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

(1Co 10:27 KJV)  If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

(1Co 11:18 KJV)  For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

(1Co 13:7 KJV)  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

(1Co 14:22 KJV)  Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.

(1Co 14:23 KJV)  If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

(1Co 14:24 KJV)  But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

(1Co 15:2 KJV)  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

(1Co 15:11 KJV)  Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

(2Co 4:4 KJV)  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

(2Co 4:13 KJV)  We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

(2Co 6:14 KJV)  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

(2Co 6:15 KJV)  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

(Gal 2:16 KJV)  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

(Gal 3:6 KJV)  Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

(Gal 3:22 KJV)  But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

(Eph 1:13 KJV)  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

(Eph 1:19 KJV)  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

(Php 1:29 KJV)  For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

(1Th 1:7 KJV)  So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

(1Th 2:10 KJV)  Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

(1Th 2:13 KJV)  For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

(1Th 4:14 KJV)  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

(2Th 1:10 KJV)  When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

(2Th 2:11 KJV)  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

(2Th 2:12 KJV)  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2Th 2:13 KJV)  But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

(1Ti 1:13 KJV)  Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

(1Ti 1:16 KJV)  Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

(1Ti 3:16 KJV)  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

(1Ti 4:3 KJV)  Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

(1Ti 4:10 KJV)  For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

(1Ti 4:12 KJV)  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

(1Ti 5:16 KJV)  If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

(1Ti 6:2 KJV)  And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

(2Ti 1:12 KJV)  For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

(2Ti 2:13 KJV)  If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

(Tit 1:15 KJV)  Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

(Tit 3:8 KJV)  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

(Heb 3:12 KJV)  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

(Heb 3:18 KJV)  And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

(Heb 3:19 KJV)  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

(Heb 4:3 KJV)  For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

(Heb 4:6 KJV)  Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

(Heb 4:11 KJV)  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

(Heb 10:39 KJV)  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

(Heb 11:6 KJV)  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

(Heb 11:31 KJV)  By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

(Jas 2:19 KJV)  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

(Jas 2:23 KJV)  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

(1Pe 1:8 KJV)  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

(1Pe 1:21 KJV)  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

(1Pe 2:6 KJV)  Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

(1Pe 2:7 KJV)  Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

(1Jn 3:23 KJV)  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

(1Jn 4:1 KJV)  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

(1Jn 4:16 KJV)  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

(1Jn 5:1 KJV)  Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

(1Jn 5:5 KJV)  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

(1Jn 5:10 KJV)  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

(1Jn 5:13 KJV)  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

(Jud 1:5 KJV)  I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

(Rev 21:8 KJV)  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
